Caboolture.

24th November 2016, Caboolture.

I have been a little slack again in not putting words down. I have been away on another short trip to Tamborine Mountain, inland from the Gold Coast. Linda went to Melbourne for two weeks to do some baby-sitting for Narrelle and left me on my own again. K&A had already gone down to Tamborine in their ‘Nipper’ so I decided to go down for a few days for the company. I only went down for five days, and apart from a little sight-seeing, I really did not do anything at all, and thoroughly enjoyed it. I am back now, and so is Linda, and we don’t look like taking the van out now for quite some time, like next year. One good reason I didn’t place any reports while away is that the mobile coverage was very poor down there, in a valley on the hillside, so consequently internet access wasn’t very good either.

1st November 2016, Caboolture.

Yes, we are back in Caboolture, as usual lately it is often forgotten to put anything down, especially when back home. We actually got back on Tuesday, but not without minor dramas. When I parked out the front waiting for Linda to open the gates I tested the temperature of the brake drums and one of them was quite hot. After talking to the people that did the rego safety inspection, the van is at present with them to find out what is wrong. I figured that if they were doing a safety inspection, they should have checked everything was ok, but their discussion today was that this is not generally the case, so to avoid big arguments they are doing a service today as the problem must be fixed anyway, and it will more than likely be at my expense.
